MONA FOMA, also known as the Museum of Old and New Art: Festival of Music and Arts, stands out among Tasmania's most celebrated contemporary music festivals. Every January, Festival MONA FOMA takes over Hobart in an unforgettable experience of sound and spectacle. Masterminded by Violent Femmes Member Brian Ritchie, this unique festival combines noise with dance theatre, visual art performance & new media.

Every June, visitors worldwide flock to Hobart, Tasmania, for Dark Mofo – an awe-inspiring winter festival illuminated by starry nights. Established in 2008 by the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona), Ritchie & The Salamanca Arts Centre, Mona Foma is renowned for its unique events that light up the festive season!
