CubaDupa, the celebrated street festival of Te Whanganui-a-Tara will be back in 2023 with an exciting range of extraordinary experiences! This one-weekend event will transform Cuba Street and its surrounding laneways, parks, restaurants, and stores into a vibrant hub where you can explore a plethora of artistic installations & events. Everyone is invited to attend this family friendly celebration - there’s something new waiting at each corner for you to discover!

The festival is an incredibly accessible event that proudly provides a platform for transformation and discovery in the Creative Capital. From March 25 to 26, there are myriad activities spread out throughout multiple genres to explore your creative expression.

CubaDupa presents a vibrant, inventive concrete playground for all to enjoy. From street theatre and installations to pop-up performances and dance - every type of art is on display! Music genres range from opera and rock music to Toi Māori, brass bands Balkan beats; CubaDupa provides something unique for everyone. This experience brings the audience closer together with the performer – allowing them to live in a harmonious world full of artistic exploration and inclusion along their journey.
